With their variety of shapes, colors, and sizes, ornamental grasses are perfect for container gardens, add texture to landscapes, privacy to homes and can dress up decks and patios during the summer months. They add accent to gardens, and can create hedges and borders. At the end of the season, when most perennials look worn, many ornamental grasses have beautiful seed heads and great fall color. Soft, mounding grasses such as fountaingrass look great with plants that have a bolder texture, for example.
